A warm, inviting home, Tara Lodge is one of Northland's loveliest places to stay. Part of the beautiful Tara landscape for more than 110 years, the traditional homestead stands in a quiet country garden, overlooking rolling green downland below the Brynderwyn Hills. It is a mere five minutes from Mangawhai township.

The owners, Les and Liz Holsted, have an extraordinary passion for sharing their home with guests. They're fun-loving, sociable people who love nothing more than to join their guests in great conversation and laughter, but they also know that there are times when guests may want to be alone. It's all about making your stay at Tara Lodge unforgettable.

Tara Lodge has overnight accommodation for a couple (singles are accommodated) at any one time.
The 'Garden Room' is a place for dreamers; its antique bedcovers are bathed in morning sunshine, and there is a private doorway leading to the gardens.
